MARIA RODÉS

Maria Rodés is a Barcelona-based singer, composer and arranger with over a decade of work behind her. Her style blends singer-songwriter tradition with sonic and compositional experimentation, and her output spans solo albums, literature and collaborations with artists such as Nacho Vegas, Jorge Drexler, Refree and Coque Malla.

She has been recognised with the Premio Continuará, the Premio Altaveu and the Premio MIN, and performed at the Meltdown Festival as a guest of David Byrne with her album María Canta Copla.

As a film composer she has scored Villaviciosa de al lado, by Nacho G. Velilla; No culpes al karma de lo que te pasa por gilipollas, by María Ripoll; and This Too Shall Pass, and has worked with directors such as Jaume Balagueró. She currently combines her artistic career with composition for film and advertising.
